Season Of Discontent
Remember how I said before how excited I was about soccer getting started again, and all that? Well, things are not going so swimmingly for my team. 1-5, how does that sound?
That’s right - the once-mighty have fallen to the absolute bottom of our bracket. If our league has a relegation policy, we are certainly a candidate for removal.
The funny thing is, we are a much better team than this… We aren’t going to win any pennants, but we should be winning most of our matches. I could go on and on (the new keeper, several new players, no real finishers on the team, out of shape, etc), but why? Mostly its still fun, and I have started to put my hopes into a solid fall season, while thinking about spring as a “rebuilding” time for our team.
Whatever works for you, right?
The Boys Are Here!
Congratulations to Daniel and Cary on the birth of their twins, Grayton and Ben. They were a few weeks early, to say the least, but everyone is happy and healthy.
MR and I went to see the proud parents when they came home, although the boys will be spending some additional time at the hospital.
