And Now For Something on the Mechanics…

with one comment

Since I’m up all night due to work, I distracted myself by following up on a few things I’ve been wanting to do about how this is looks and works.

  • Thanks to Justin Blanton for the Smart Archives plug-in. I think they look nice.
  • Thanks also to those crazy kids who pulled together the K2 theme for WordPress. I have been tinkering off and on, trying to get what I want out of the default theme and making changes to other themes I’ve seen and downloaded, but I never walk away happy. But I like the new look around here, and I think it will stay awhile. At least until Provisional is released… that one, I dig.

I won’t tell you how long it took me to figure out how to create an unordered, bulleted list. OK, so I didn’t figure it out, I looked it up, so what? The next goal is to change from regular old bulleted lists to fancy ones, as discussed on A List Apart in Taming Lists.

Update: Looks like we made it. At least, if you are using Firefox as your browser. If you use IE, you don’t see the nifty bulleted list above. In fact, it looks a little sloppy to you. Sorry about that.
