Happy Birthday Brothers!
Oye. With all that’s gone on lately (which, again, I’ll get to), and with no power / cable / Internet at home, I have neglected to mention two happy days recently: My brother in law Will turned 30 on Saturday and my brother Peter turned 31 on Sunday.
Seriously?
I started An Ongoing List of The Things They’ve Carried: Illness Edition to make light of my sick little kids, and thought that I might add to it occasionally with more or less ususal suspects, but this one is a bit odd:
At first I wasn’t even sure this was for real - Dobbs had Coxsachie (pronounced COX-sack-E). Every time I say that word outloud I feel dirty, it just sounds bad. When the doctor told MR what he had, MR just looked at her like - can you say that in front of the kids?
A Not-So-Great Week
That might be a bit of an understatement, but there it is.
Last week (which will be detailed in a bit) was less than stellar. Part lightening, part loss mostly all stressful and a bit scary; thankfully over.
Hopefully we are now returning to our regularly scheduled program.
Conversation The Other Day At A Party
From a conversation the other day at a party:
Uncle Kevin - Hey, Roll Tide!
Reilly - No, we don’t say that word.
